I am shaking this week due to the Kavanaugh hearings. I am reliving my own experiences of sexual assaults. They happened many years ago. I don’t talk about it. I never talked about it. I don’t want to talk about it. The first time I talked about the assault when I was young was when it happened when I was in my early 40’s. But, Kavanaugh’s demeanor yesterday has me shaking. I feel like I know this guy. I don’t know him personally, but I have known men like him. And seeing many defending him has me shaking. I am glad that it appears that we will have an additional FBI investigation.

I hate how the GOP is trying to ram this nomination through regardless of the allegations. But even before that I thought it would be a disaster for women and LGBT folks, of which I am both. I've felt that way since Kennedy announced his retirement actually. So the Republican controlled Senate wouldn't even have a hearing for Merrick Garland because we were approximately 240 days from the election. But now we are supposed to be OK with Kavanaugh less than 50 days before an election. The hypocrisy is astounding.

He's confirmed. :rage:

I was sure after Ford's testimony and Kavanaugh's horrible performance and obvious lies, that there would be not just two, but many GOP who would say "screw it, we can do better". I was wrong. Maybe you can't see Ford is telling the truth, but you didn't need an FBI investigation to know that the drinking age wasn't 18. This was probably to hide the Russian funding via the NRA: the Supreme Court is going to be ruling soon on whether someone pardoned of a federal crime can be prosecuted by a state for the same crime. Corruption to the point of treason. :rage:
